Wanna be a Fashion Designer? (kinda)
I'one thousand SO excited to be sharing a new project with you lot today. For those of y'all who don't already know, I went to school for fashion blueprint. I know what your thinking, "Oh Ah, That'south so cool!" But, if I'k being totally honest with you. It sucked.
Yea, you read that right. I hated it. I even tried to change majors & schools after my freshman year, only my Mother wasn't quite interested in hearing that. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy sewing, or that it was too hard, every bit much as it was the other students. Patently the only girls who get to school for Way are the ones who like to shop. (95% of those girls take never even seen a sewing machine before they offset their 2d yr of college!!!) That isn't me, I'm a jeans & Tee shirt gal. EVERY day. (I joke that the only thing I got out of schoolhouse was my husband ; )

But, I like to work with my easily and it feels good to make other people pretty. Becoming a SAHM was the all-time choice I ever made! I tin can express my inventiveness however I want, and there aren't whatsoever "critiques". Plus I become to be part of this wonderful customs where everyone is more interested in the creating, than and then & so'south haircut or new heels. (not you, your haircut is darling…) I have learned so much already from the wonderful blogs I've read, and wanted to requite something back.
So, even though I feel similar some of the techniques yous guys come up upwards with are ingenious, I idea some of you might be interested in learning some of the "hoity-toity" fashion techniques that I spent Mode too much money to larn. (Where was my course on freezer paper stencils? or trace your own patterns? And why am I still confused by presser feet? lol)
Anyway, plenty school bashing. My programme is to suspension a garment into a few days like a run up along. Each day I volition share a "how to" for a unlike technique, and then at the end of the calendar week I volition testify y'all how to use everything you lot learned to make a garment.
What practice you call back? Are you in? (Pretty please say Yeah!)
The beginning garment I'd like you to make with me is this Keyhole Wearing apparel. You may take seen information technology from this mail where I talked about getting my "rear in gear" as my Gramma would say. What better way to first than with the project that got me back into sewing?
So stop back tomorrow for Role 1. How to run up French Seams. I hope it is much easier than information technology sounds.
Hope to meet you then. I can't wait to see if anyone is interested.
Thank you for Visiting!
